3rd Annual Market Poster Contest
This contest is open to all 2011 OFMA members. Eligible entries are posters from the 2011 market season (one per market). The winning farmers' market will receive a cash prize of $100!
To enter the contest, bring your market poster to the annual OFMA meeting on Friday, February 24th at the Westside Community Church. Each submitted poster will be displayed at the OSU Small Farms Conference on Saturday, February 25th for community viewing and voting. Winners will be announced at the end of the Small Farms Conference (5pm Saturday).
Deadline: Friday, February 24, 2012 at 12:00pm. Submit entries to the registration table staff at the OFMA annual meeting. Be sure to include current contact information.
Small Farms Conference

Kristin and Mark Kimball run a full-diet, free-choice, year-round, draft horse powered CSA from their northern New York Essex Farm. Kristin will discuss how their unique farm model has evolved over eight seasons, the advantages and disadvantages of scaling up, and the importance of hanging on to a clear vision in the face of rapid change. Her book, The Dirty Life, chronicles their farm’s chaotic startup year. Kristin Kimball, Essex Farm and author of The Dirty Life: A Memoir of Farming, Food & Love.
Registration will be $45 each or 2 from the same farm, registering together for $80 through Feb 15th. Late registration is $50 per person.
