Oregon
Farmers' Markets

Oregon farmers’ markets are a unique partnership between city residents and farmers. The Oregon Farmers' Markets Association seeks to promote, support and develop this partnership for the benefit of Oregon farmers and Oregon communities.

OFMA Past And Present

In l987, a small group of market managers from around the state organized the Oregon Farmers’ Markets Association (OFMA) to support their work recreating traditional markets in their communities.

In 2004, 64 communities within the state enjoy the benefits of a farmers’ market. Recent estimates indicate that more than 1000 Oregon farmers participate in farmers’ markets each year and that farmers' markets attract more than 90,000 people each week during the peak summer months.

OFMA Membership Opportunities

OFMA welcomes the participation of farmers' markets, farmers, customers, and other market supporters.  For markets, OFMA provides many market benefits to assist in growing successful markets.  For farmers and market supporters, OFMA encourage their support of the larger vision of sustaining Oregon agriculture for future generations.
