Over the years, OFMA has received suggestions on how markets can fund start-ups, projects and development of a market as it matures. Here are some considerations:
Farm Aid - Support for Family
Farms
Every year Farm Aid grants money to farm and rural service organizations. Other funds promote food from family farms and keep our farmer hotline going strong. Farm Aid staff works throughout the year to support and strengthen the work of the family farm groups around the country. We are proud to say that every dollar is put to good use helping family farmers.
Our work is accomplished in four main program areas: Growing the Good Food Movement, Helping Farmers Thrive, Taking Action to Change the System, and Promoting Food from Family Farms. This year's grants are going to the first three program areas and cover a wide range of activities. Details of each grant and organization are available below.
