Why Join OFMA?

OFMA is a non-profit membership organization. Voting membership is open to all farmers' markets in Oregon representing a group of at least five farmers who meet regularly to sell their fresh products to the public and who are actively seeking to include more farmers.

Market Liability Insurance - Affordable market general and product liability insurance to safeguard farmers' markets.

Networking Opportunities - Statewide email list serv, website and teleconference meetings, where ideas are shared among current and start-up markets.

Statewide Publicity Campaign - promotes farmers’ markets to the public through various media contacts and distribution of the statewide farmers’ markets brochure.

Regional and Statewide Forums - Workshops and conferences focusing on marketing products directly to consumers.

Statewide Market Surveys - OFMA supports OSU Extension research projects that generate statistical data to help farmers and markets.

Farm-Direct Advocacy - We represent markets and farmers in improving statewide programs such as Farm Direct Nutrition Program and addressing other regulatory issues affecting farmers who sell at markets.


Membership Application

Voting membership is also available for farmers who participate in farmers' markets. Other market supporters are welcome to contribute to OFMA and join as non-voting members.
