Membership
Membership in OFMA reflects a shared commitment to building a vibrant network of farmers markets connecting Oregon's farmers and consumers.
Members support OFMA's mission of strengthening and promoting farmers markets and demonstrate a commitment to our association’s guiding principles and values.
OFMA members put these values into practice in their market communities, and OFMA acts as a convener of those doing this work across the state, bringing market leaders together to share knowledge, strengthen relationships, and align efforts in ways that amplify Oregon's local food systems.
We offer our members unlimited access to our learning resources, events and gatherings, and specialized support designed specifically for farmers market operators and vendors to help you build and sustain successful markets and market businesses.
Who Can Be a Member?
Membership is currently open to Oregon farmers market organizations and vendors.
Market membership is open to enterprises that meet Farmers Market Coalition’s definition of a farmers market: a recurring location where two or more vendors sell locally produced items directly to shoppers, including at least one vendor selling agricultural products they grew, raised, or harvested.
Vendor membership is open to individuals and businesses currently selling products at an Oregon farmers market that they grew, raised, harvested, processed, or produced.
We ask all individuals, businesses and organizations seeking memberships to pay an annual enrollment/renewal fee to cover a small portion of the association’s general operating costs.

How Do Members Engage?
Meaningful participation can take many forms, from attending events and joining committees to engaging in advocacy, mentoring future leaders, and sharing resources with the broader farmers market community. While participation looks different for every member, all members help advance OFMA's mission through collaboration, community building, and a willingness to learn and contribute.
When you enroll, we ask that members of our statewide market community agree to the following:
Treat others in the network with respect and kindness across differences in experience, perspective, and background. OFMA aspires for farmers markets to be supportive, welcoming and inclusive spaces for all of Oregon’s community members.
Share basic market data annually by participating in the Market Metrics program. This data helps OFMA communicate the value of markets to policymakers, media, funders and shoppers to gain greater support and recognition for Oregon farmers markets.
Provide feedback at least once a year on OFMA programs, strategy, special projects, and related initiatives.
How Do Members Benefit?
Member benefits recognize that farmers markets and vendors are investing in OFMA through their membership, and in return, OFMA invests back into members by continually creating opportunities, resources, and support that help them address challenges, strengthen their work, and remain connected to a broader community of practice.
