Even the most dedicated volunteers need education on board service to understand their legal and fiduciary responsibilities, and to learn how to separate the work of governance from daily market operations.

That’s why this year’s Farmers Market Boot Camp will again include a dedicated event for market board members.

Join OFMA and market leaders from 4 states on Tuesday, March 31st at 5:00 pm for a two-hour virtual session with tips and tools to support board members in successfully serving their market community this season.

A panel of experienced farmers market board members will…

•  Discuss the unique features of farmers market organizations

• Offer reality checks regarding capacity and collaboration, and the boundaries of authority

• Show you where to find the best resources to support your market’s size, plans and goals.

While tickets last, board members belonging to an OFMA member market may attend at no cost, though registration is required. This session will not be recorded, so live attendance is necessary to participate in the training.
