Portland Farmers Market, in collaboration with OFMA, will host a series of three webinars for market vendors this winter. These engaging sessions aim to make Oregon's farmers markets welcoming for every visitor, thereby increasing vendor success.
In our February webinar, Sagdrina Brown Jalal will present an interactive workshop that will equip farmers market vendors with practical communication strategies to better serve diverse shoppers, strengthen trust, and support increased sales and shopper retention. Participants will explore how language, culture, and unconscious bias shape shopper experience—and how small shifts in communication can lead to measurable vendor benefits.
Topics covered will include:
Cross-cultural communication in market settings
Non-verbal communication and shopper trust
Recognizing internal bias and its impact on sales
